Here is the process to clean cat urine on concrete on an inside floor:
1. Mix the SealGreen Kennel Cleaner Concentrate according to the instructions on the bottle.
2. Apply SealGreen Kennel Cleaner to all areas where urine is and all washable areas where urine may be.
3. Let the cleaner soak for 10 to 15 minutes so it can penetrate the concrete and dissolve the crystallized urine.
4. Apply more cleaner and scrub the area with a stiff brush.
5. Once scrubbed, apply clean water with a garden pump sprayer and immediately vacuum the treated areas with a wet/dry shop vacuum. Rinse this way several times to get all the cleaner and urine removed.
6. Allow the clean areas to dry and inspect for cat urine smell
7. The process above may have to be repeated depending on how long the cat urine has been there and how much there is.
8. We recommend that once you have cleaned all the cat urine and have no smell left to seal the concrete with SealGreen Kennel Sealer Concentrate or SealGreen E10 Epoxy Sealer depending on the plan for finishing the floor. The Kennel Sealer cannot be used to seal concrete below grade (i.e. basements).
9. Sealing a clean floor will encapsulate the concrete, reduce urine penetration and will hopefully discourage the cat from urinating in the same place.
If you cat urine is outside and a pressure washer or a garden hose can be used, please read the following document How to Clean, and Maintain a Dog/Cat Kennel Using SealGreen Kennel Cleaner
