This are the most common scenarios that create white stains:
If you over apply the sealer to a puddle, make it runny, apply several times, or if it rains over an area that you have just treated, etc. it will create white stains over the surface. Questions call us 913-681-3451
If you get white stains after applying SealGreen Concrete Sealer Concentrate, SealGreen Garage Floor Sealer Concentrate, SealGreen Kennel Sealer Concentrate, SealGreen Polished Concrete Sealer Concentrate. Follow the following process to clean.
1. The good news is that your concrete is very well sealed.
2. The white stains with time will turn into white powder and eventually blow away leaving the concrete clean. The white powder is not toxic to animals is just sealer that dry on the surface.
3. Do Not attempted just to wash the sealer the following day because it will make more stains.
4. To clean you will need a plastic brush with stiff bristles, more mix sealer, and a pressure washer.
a. If you do not mind the white stains the longer, they sit the easier they will be to clean. The white stains slowly over a two-week period they turn into white dust.
b. Outdoors - Spry the white stains with more of the mixed sealer and scrub immediately and then pressure wash the surface. Work in small areas to avoid letting the sealer dry before rinse.
c. Indoors – First try scrubbing the white stains and vacuum, see is they come off. If they do not come off, then apply mix sealer over the stain scrub with a stiff plastic brush and the rinse and use a shop vac to collect the water. Work in small areas to avoid the sealer dry again.
By washing the floor and scrubbing you will not affect the sealer that it is already absorbed by the concrete. No need to reseal again.
