SealGreen, using our color solution, strive to provide a naturally colored floor using the floor’s flaws such as small shallow holes, small hairline cracks and peaks and valley of the surface to create variegations which define the character of the concrete floor. (Such as the floor in our showroom).
Our stainable fill materials will not work with hairline cracks or shallow holes because the material requires a larger area to bond correctly to the existing concrete. With our floor preparation we clean the hairline cracks, wash the shallow holes, then they are stained and sealed with two coats of SealGreen E10 Vapor Barrier Epoxy Sealer, and one coat of SealGreen W10 Finish Coat. The crack and the shallow holes are bridged/sealed with our application and are not open. The result is a stained and sealed crack or shallow hole which is less visible than a repaired area.
To fill the small shallow holes and hairline cracks we would need to use a special repair material that is made of polymers. Polymers are great for repairing concrete; however, polymers cannot be stained. Therefore, a repaired shallow hole or hairline crack will have a beige color in contrast with the Natural/Antique Gray color making the repair obvious to the eye.
