The SealGreen Kennel Sealer has a 20-year life. The sealer when initially applied chemical reacts within the concrete becoming part of the concrete. The sealer is inside the concrete not on the surface of the concrete like paint. We recommend a treatment every 5 years because the concrete wears out with foot traffic, cleaning, scrapping, etc. Traffic It will expose pores within the concrete that were not available during the initial installation. Some commercial places where there is heavy traffic treat the floors every 2 to 3 years.
To treat the floor after its initial installation you only must wash the floor with a cleaner we recommend SealGreen Kennel Cleaner, then after wash allow floor to dry and then apply SealGreen Kennel Sealer. Dog can be returned to kennel after 8 hours.
